The food is your typical bar food and is on the pricy side. My group and I looked at the menu before we arrived and we were prepared, so it was not a big deal to us. However, that does not deter from the overall experience. The rooftop on a 75-80 degree day is so much fun and close to my house in west town.
STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE BLACK!!! They do not respect black ppl! We were at an all black bar private event here and they had two bartenders per side!! It was at MINIMUM one hour for a drink!!!!!! I’ve also come THREE times publicly when it wasn’t a private event and felt ignored. Plus the food wasn’t that good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mid at best!!! On a good day.
Utopian Tailgate has the best atmosphere for drinks with the girls, games with friends and family, and incredible skyline views. When my mom and I came to Utopian we were greeted by Ryan and our wonderful server. The drinks were great, and the food was even better! Especially the fried cauliflower! 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting or living in Chicago!
