Michael Jordan’s Steak House was a great choice for dinner. The beef filets were cooked perfectly, and the mashed potato trio was such a fun way to try a few different flavors. The grilled corn was delicious, and the garlic bread was outstanding. The atmosphere was upscale but still comfortable, and the service was excellent. We would absolutely recommend it for a special dinner in Chicago.
Once we knew that we were going to Chicago, we made reservations here immediately. We had been talking about going to Michael Jordan's Steakhouse for a couple of months and are so glad that we did it! It was everything we hoped for. What an elegant, gorgeous restaurant it is without being ostentatious. We were warmly greeted at the hostess desk and escorted upstairs and across the glass bridge to the dining room. We passed the Jordan memorabilia that we later looked at. In the dining room, we were welcomed by Hector, who was going to be our excellent server that evening. He was amazing with his perfect suggestions of food and drinks for us. He checked on us at all the right times and even told us the history of the knives display case, which was very interesting! He took pictures of us and treated us like royalty. What more could we ask for? Thank you, Hector. We ordered the New York Strip USDA Prime steak to share. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection! Practically melted in my mouth. I can still taste it. My daughter loved it also. We also ordered the Mashed Potato Trio consisting of roasted garlic, crab & wakame butter and a sweet potato brûlee. Again, a trio of perfection for both of us. To complete our meal, we added the Four Cheese Mac with cheez-it crust and four cheese sauce. It was the creme de la creme of a comfort meal for us. The highlight of dinners in Chicago on the last night of our trip. We also enjoyed the soft music, the low lighting, the glamor, the decor, the elegance, the memorabila, our server, and the friendly staff. There is also a great full bar on your left as you enter and you don't need a reservation. It is more casual attire also. I'm not sure about parking as we ubered. Do put this beautiful place on your list to go to while in Chicago.
Here’s a balanced review you could post: We recently dined at Michael Jordan’s Steak House in Chicago. The atmosphere was nice, and the service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations. While the quality of the ingredients seemed good, most of the dishes were noticeably over-seasoned and far too salty, which took away from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Overall, the experience was okay, but considering the reputation and price point, we expected more. It wasn’t a bad dinner, but it also wasn’t memorable enough for us to return.
Just WOW! One of the best dining experiences I have ever had! Finding a word to describe how incredible our server, Claudia, was is a challenge! Knowledge, friendly, funny, attentive. My steak was cooked perfectly! I don't even think I needed the knife to cut it. I probably could have used a spoon! The Air Jordan image in my ice cube was a nice touch. I'm so glad I went while I was in town.
Definitely one of the best steakhouses in Chicago! Everything on the menu is awesome. My favorite is the filet topped with some fresh herbal butter. The mac and cheese and bolognaise were also amazing. The desserts are rich but super tasty. Dress code is strictly enforced in the dining room which is a huge plus which certainly helps preserve the quaint ambiance. Can’t wait to come back!
