GO TO KALA NOW!!!!!!!! I cannot say enough good things about Kala. When I saw that I hadn’t already posted a review for Kala today, I was in shock. I genuinely eat here minimum 1-5 times a week ahhaha. The food is absolutely delicious and amazing quality but quick and at an amazing price (can leave here spending less than/just about $20. I tend to buy a lot haha). I typically get the chicken, steak, or shrimp bowls and they are truly amazing. The infamous frozen Greek yogurt is quite literally perfection and I get it more than I will admit. The girls who all work there are absolutely amazing and make me feel so welcomed (Hi Sara, Emily, and Maci hehe). I eat at fine dining restaurants regularly for work or personal reasons and sometimes I just would rather eat at Kala haha. Love the outdoor dining option and that the front windows open up. Overall: Run don’t walk to Kala
got the frozen yogurt and it was really tart and not too sweet. I will say it is definitely pricey ($6.75, comes out to $7.54 with taxes) and the texture isn’t necessarily like what you’d expect—instead of being smooth and velvety, it has lots of ice crystals, and you can almost chew it. but that’s something I personally don’t mind so I had no issue with that! :) Extra kudos to them for the nice bathroom! Although it would be nice to have a trashcan closer to the door haha
Might be the best restar I’ve discovered in a long time. The portions are decent size for the price and quality of the food of the food is amazing. I had the beef rice bowl. The beef and veggies are full of flavor and charred giving off a tasty smoky flavor that somehow makes its way into the rice and salad. I added harissa sauce ($0.75) which was a great add on. Also tried the Greek fries would were top notch fries.
The food is very tasty, truly outstanding, with huge portions and very affordable prices. The service is unusual in a good way — you can simply sit at the table, scan a QR code, browse everything you want with pictures, and even pay right away. The girl at the cashier has such beautiful brown eyes :) 👀 I really liked the service from the waiters as well. First of all, the food was brought quickly, we didn’t have to wait long. The only thing we didn’t understand was why the dessert was brought out first, but it’s okay. Another thing we liked was that after we finished eating, the waitress immediately came and said, “May I take the empty plates so they don’t get in your way?” That was nicely said. There is a very beautiful view if you sit outside — nice architecture, and it’s cool that people walk right behind you, so you can eat and watch them at the same time :) Overall, 5 out of 5. Atmosphere, presentation, beautiful dishes — the team really put in a lot of effort, well done! It was appreciated and well deserved. Your food is amazing, and most importantly, the taste made me want to dance :) 🕺
Walking in we were greeted immediately by the owner/chef. The staff were so organized and friendly. It was impressive to see them work together so flawlessly. You can watch them bagging up carry out orders, seamlessly clearing tables, and taking meals and silverware to tables. It really is a unique dining experience. The food itself was so fresh! I ordered the pork bowl (I liked all of the veggies and fries on that bowl) I switch out the pork for chicken. Everything on the bowl was phenomenal. The cucumber and tomato were crisp, the pickled onions not too strong, the sauce and fries bringing in great texture, and then the rice was even flavored. The portions are just the right size. It leaves you feeling good, its not heavy or greasy. My boyfriend ordered the gyro and really enjoyed his food too. This spot is definitely worth it. I highly recommend.
