Our first stop on our Chicago trip. This place was highly Recommend by one of our friend and i must say it didnt dissapoint. We had the Best Beet salad here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. My partner got the steak n fries and the pepper sauce was the best. I had trout, which was good aswell. N the apple tart dessert was out of this world. Will come back for sure.

Came here with colleagues since they have good ratings across many platform. I ordered beet salad and escargot as appetizers. Both are good, the salad is very refreshing, all the ingredients blend perfectly. For the main course, I had trout en route and my colleagues had French onion soup and French dip. All are very satisfying. Perfected by the maple creme brulee and apple tart. Definitely recommended, but better make a reservation beforehand. The servers are very attentive and warm.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. The whole place felt super authentic, like a little piece of France. Everything we ordered was amazing - steak, fries, escargot, even the homemade bread was so good. And the trout was just the cherry on top!! Such an incredible combination of flavors, so delicate and perfectly done.

The restaurant is small, a bit cramped, and quite loud. They could really benefit from acoustic wall panels to help absorb the noise. We ordered several of the popular dishes mentioned in reviews. The standout was the salade de betteraves—flavorful, bright, and surprisingly light. Next was the fjord trout en croute, which was enjoyable once we skipped the overly rich sauce. The onion soup had good flavor, but it was disappointing to find bread already mixed into the soup. We want to love Le Bouchon, but overall the food was simply too rich for our taste.

I manifested Dinner at Le Bouchon. It was my birthday. But let me back up…Two years ago I painted Le Bouchon as I gift for my daughter. I fell in love with learning about the restaurant. I kept saying I can’t wait to go there. And so for my birthday my family gifted me the experience of Le Bouchon. I’m so grateful they did! We started with escargot and warm bread, then baked onion soups… absolutely outstanding. Kevin ordered the trout and declared it the best fish he’s ever had — delicate, flavorful, with a beautiful pea purée that made the whole dish sing. I split the steak frites with my daughter, perfectly cooked and finished with a rich peppercorn sauce. Tony’s pork chop was just as memorable. Dessert sealed it: crème brûlée, perfectly crackled and divine, and a chocolate mint ice cream that was unexpectedly incredible. The space is small and quaint, but that’s part of the magic. Every inch feels alive. The staff was warm, fun, and welcoming, making the whole night feel effortless. Special acknowledgment to Mark.
