If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Italy in Chicago, Eataly is a must-visit. It’s much more than a restaurant—it’s a true Italian marketplace filled with high-quality cheeses, cured meats, fresh pasta, baked goods, olive oils, wines, and countless gourmet products that make you feel like you’ve stepped into Italy. The deli and cheese selection is especially impressive, with a fantastic variety of authentic Italian specialties. The restaurants throughout Eataly are equally enjoyable, serving delicious, fresh Italian dishes made with quality ingredients. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick espresso and pastry, a casual pizza, or a full pasta dinner, the food consistently delivers authentic Italian flavors. Even if you’re not dining, it’s a wonderful place to browse, shop, and experience Italian food culture. A fantastic destination for anyone who loves Italian cuisine.
Fantastic place! So many genuine Italian products! Would have been 5 stars unless you really enjoy dry pizza with no cheese. I know the difference. I was in Sicily for 2 weeks a year ago.
Delicious Treats, but on the Pricier Side. Dropped by Eataly for a coffee and dessert pickup. Here is a quick breakdown of the experience: The Coffee: Absolutely excellent. Rich, well-brewed, and easily the highlight of the visit. The Pastries: Both the cannoli and the bombolone were fresh, authentic, and very tasty. The Value: The only real downside is the cost we found the place to be a little bit pricey for a casual coffee and pastry run. Overall, it is a wonderful spot for high-quality Italian treats if you don't mind spending a premium.
On the weekend they have a to-go pasta counter upstairs, same great quality as their restaurants . Great if you’re in a rush. The lavazza espresso bar downstairs and the gelato downstairs is amazing. If they have the Cremespresso drink available , try it, it’s one of the best coffee drinks I’ve ever had (but sometimes their machine is broken). Staff is awesome. Nice assortment of grocery items from Italy.
Eataly is a must visit!! They have a great selection of Italian groceries and wine, plus great places for a sit down meal or grab and go. The pistachio tiramisu (first floor) is unreal!! I also enjoyed the traditional tiramisu and the gelato. Love that you can get a glass of wine and a slice of pizza for a quick and delicious lunch. Everyone who works here is lovely and so helpful!
