When they say SOUL food, Soulé to Soulé in Chicago clearly took that personally. 😮💨🔥 — Because LOOK. AT. THESE. PLATES. — First up: the pork chops with mac & cheese and greens. And they did NOT come to play with the portions. The pork chops were beautifully glazed, tender, flavorful, and seasoned like somebody’s auntie was in the kitchen making sure you knew exactly where you were. 😂👏🏾 — But those SIDES?! The mac & cheese was creamy, cheesy, and giving everything you want from a soul food mac. And the greens? Tender, savory, and full of that slow-cooked flavor. This wasn’t a plate where the sides were an afterthought — everybody contributed to the group project. 😂 — Nowwww…the shrimp & grits. 🍤 — BABY. — Creamy grits, big seasoned shrimp, and that rich, savory sauce surrounding everything?! Every spoonful gets a little bit of everything, and THAT is the kind of shrimp & grits I want. The sauce soaked into the grits beautifully, the shrimp had plenty of flavor, and the portion was more than generous. — Soulé to Soulé gave us comfort, flavor AND portions. This is the kind of meal where you arrive hungry, loosen your belt halfway through, and STILL ask for a to-go box because leaving anything behind feels disrespectful. 😂 — If you’re in Chicago looking for some soul food, put Soulé to Soulé on the list. And come HUNGRY. — • Pork chops: HIT. • Mac & cheese: HIT. • Greens: HIT. • Shrimp & grits: HIIIIIT. — Would absolutely run this one back. 🤌🏾
This place had THE BEST lamb chops I’ve ever tasted in my life. Even after driving home I ate them cold off the bone the pasta was so perfectly cooked and the GREENS… the greens looked plain but had way more flavor than expected. It was a 10/10 absolutely DELICIOUS
I am writing regarding our recent dining experience at your Chicago Avenue establishment on 6/7/26. The atmosphere was very soothing with the low jazz music playing, and the restaurant's decor was eloquently designed and coordinated. Furthermore, the attentiveness of our waiters, DJ and Daevon, was priceless. As a table of four, we ordered catfish, honey drizzled fried chicken, fried chicken, mac-n-cheese, greens, string beans with potatoes, grits, sweet potatoes, cornbread, and sweet tea. The presentation of the food was over the top. The portions, temperature, and seasoning were all impeccable. That's a Sunday dinner that could be enjoyed any day of the week. As a visitor to Chicago, I would recommend everyone make their way to this establishment; it truly should be a franchise. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Upon arrival the ambience is breathtaking. Our waitress greeted us with a warm welcome and a beautiful smile. She was phenomenal and did an excellent job with providing outstanding service. All of the food was delicious. Everything came out HOT and perfectly seasoned. Great portion sizes we had left overs. We will definitely be back. Our top two faves were the Sweet potatoes and Cognac Honey BBQ Wings! Sweet potatoes reminded me of my mother’s perfect amount of sweetness and seasoning. The wings were crispy and saucy the sauce it self is amazing. The kiddos enjoyed the Strawberry Banana pudding. My daughter said it was a great finish and it was refreshing. Definitely pleased with this stop!
