Order the Banana Budino Cake in advance! You will not regret it! Cocktails are 10/10. Food was delicious. Service was amazing.
Food was incredible. Ambiance was pristine: elegant, but still comfortable and inviting. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Already planning to return soon to try the rest of the menu.
We finally got to check this place out. Located next to Mon Ami Gabi, you enter through the magnificent lobby. Inside is decorated sparsely but with warmth. We sat near the window for brunch and it was not at all busy at Saturday 10am. It’s probably not the first pick for brunch since their menu is not heavily focused on egg dishes (but they featured baked goods trays which I promised myself to try when I bring a larger family here). They relocated to this new space last fall but I had not really noticed from outside in my walks. The menu is very Asian-fusion and food was high quality and creative. I preferred theirs to North Pond actually. Theirs have more flavor overall. We ordered Maine Lobster Dumplings, Warm Mushroom Salad (this was a hit. I’m going to try to recreate the roasted mushroom at home) and truffle croquettes, pork noodle served in Korean earthen pot and salmon tartine. The first two dishes are really memorable flavors. They were generous with Mimosa and J enjoyed Mezcal shots each with pickle brine and watermelon. Think dirty martini but with more zing! which I appreciated. We want to come back for their happy hour and try other dishes. So glad to find this gem today. Service was prompt and with smiles.
Food was amazing. I’m normally hesitant about asian fusion, but they stay true to the original flavor profiles and stick the landing perfectly. We ordered 3 apps, an entree, a side, and dessert between 2 people. This was too much for us; 2 apps, entree, dessert would have been sufficient. The mapo ricotta is the most innovative dish and a sure favorite of any Sichuan flavor fan. It’s definitely spicy. The crab cake and hamachi are good, although the hamachi did not feel as above its peers as other reviewers highlighted. The chicken was a highlight with an amazing balance between the skin, juicy meat, and tasty habanero butter and corn. This had a comforting heat to bring it all together. The bread pudding was truly excellent, but the scoop of banana ice cream they gave us for our celebration left me actually more impressed. The blend of the (real?) banana with the cacoa truly highlighted the sweet notes of the fruit with the depth of flavor of the nibs. I would have gotten an extra scoop of that over the bread pudding, and the pudding was already 5 star. We will definitely be back!
Had the best Valentine’s brunch at the new Lincoln Park location last weekend. We were happy to see that the lobster dumplings and corn madelines were still on the menu in all their glory. New spot felt decadent and still cozy — great music, lots of seating that doesn’t feel cramped, and a dreamy ambience. Everything we ordered hit. Great flavors, great pacing, no chaos (which honestly deserves its own award on Valentine’s weekend). Big shoutout to Camillo for taking such good care of us. Super chill, super attentive, and just genuinely kind. He made the whole experience feel smooth and fun without ever being over the top. 10/10. We’ll be back.
