This place was awesome! Amazing service from Yesenia and the happy hour was so good!! Accommodated my gluten allergy perfectly. Yesenia was very helpful explaining the menu. The staff was also constantly refilling water. Will definitely be coming again!
Omg the best Mexican spot with unbelievable food and cocktails but more importantly the most amazing service 😍 We were there last night celebrating a birthday last night and everyone made us feel royalty. You have to try the ceviche,quesabirria pizza,guac trio(the freshest) and their margaritas!!!!!❤️
After trying the River North location and being impressed, I was excited to have a location within a mile of home. I secured a reservation through Open Table only to be scrunched into a teeny table for 2 against a wall with very little room for plates, drinks, food and a candle. It was especially tight because we loved making a meal out of sharing apps. Spilling things was a constant threat so it was a precarious situation. So, between being stuffed against the wall rendering one side of your body using limited space and the other side being constantly in the aisle of traffic - that sucked. The noise level made holding a conversation impossible. The service was attentive, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. Everything was visually perfect in presentation and better in taste. We started off with a refreshing margarita. The queso fundido was perfectly melted and served with tender, hot tortillas. The quesabirria was perfectly balanced so each layer of flavor came through. The esquites and tostones were perfect side dishes to enjoy on their own-they were that good. The mini churro bites with 3 sauces were the perfect ending. It’s a little pricey but this is a dining experience so I was not upset about it.
Audrey was our waitress and she was amazing! Her energy and positivity added to the fact that the food was great! I had the Brussels sprouts and ceviche with a pomegranate TitoRita! All great! My son had a pizza which he devoured. We would definitely come back and hope to get Audrey as our server! She sold me in everything she recommended! Thank you for wanting to be there!

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the beautiful ambiance modern, stylish, and welcoming, making it perfect for date nights, celebrations, or a night out with friends. We started with their refreshing cocktails, which were expertly crafted and full of flavor. The tacos were outstanding, featuring tender, flavorful meat, fresh toppings, and perfectly balanced flavors in every bite. The queso was rich, creamy, and absolutely irresistible, while the churros were the perfect sweet ending crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with delicious dipping sauces. What really elevated the experience was the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making us feel welcomed throughout our visit. If you’re looking for one of the best Mexican restaurants in Lincoln Park, Mercadito Chicago is definitely worth a visit. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, and an overall memorable dining experience. Highly recommend!
