Great girls night out spot. Portions were generous, and the food was on point! Denice was a pleasure, and made the experience 5/5 stars. Would come back just to see her!

We actually thought we walked into Gibsons (seems like it is actually part of it though), but turned out to be an excellent error! Everything we ordered was phenomenal. Wedge salad had a great flavor and crispy bacon. Clam chowder was actually not as heavy as it looked and had tasty potato slices in it. The pear blossom was exactly what the waitress described...naturally sweet, definitely not syrupy. I easily could have ordered another. The coconut mai tai made me feel like I was at the beach...mixed well with the seafood. Oysters were amazing...tried one of each raw. The east coast ones had better flavor. West coast ones had more substance. Enjoyed them all. Crab cake is one of the best I've ever had. Crispy exterior, flaky interior and the sauce was a slightly tangy touch. Fish and chips were also good...BUT I probably would have ordered a grilled fish or steak/burger. Not greasy/heavy and very substantial fish (cod), so certainly good if that is what you are in the mood for. REALLY wanted to get dessert...BUT was sooooooo full. Need to come just for dessert b/c the menu looks very yummy. We sat in the bar and Beck was excellent!!! Great recommendations and certainly knows how to make it a wonderful experience. It was loud, but could carry on a conversation. The piano player and sports on the tv made it a fun time. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot! You won't be disappointed

We had a very pleasant experience. The food was good, although not the best we’ve had, but the service and atmosphere made up for it. The biggest highlight was that they welcomed us and our pets on the patio, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The outdoor seating area is beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for spending a relaxing afternoon. We truly appreciate pet-friendly places and will gladly return because of that.

My boyfriend and I found this spot on a whim because he had a craving for oysters! We decided to try it this Mother’s Day and let me say this… I’m so glad we did!! FOOD: 4/5 The food was incredible— we ordered an entire spread. We got the Captain Seafood Platter (sub for a dozen oysters, 4 lobster tails, and crab salad with avocado) plus Escargot, Frog Legs and espresso martinis for a little razzle dazzle. We loved the seafood platter, especially the freshness and quality of the seafood, and the cucumber mignonette blew our mind!! The cocktails were perfect and strong. Transparently the escargot wasn’t our favorite but I loved the frog legs personally! SERVICE 5/5: prompt, attentive, and personable from the entire staff. The highlight of Hugo’s was the service. Jacob was our waiter for the evening and he made our dinner!! . Not only did he go above and beyond, but he was polite, informative, and a delight to talk to. We were met with prompt service, kindness and a smile every time. It was like being with an old friend! He accommodated every request beyond our expectations and made our dinner memorable. I highly recommend him and (honestly the entire wait staff ) for your visit. This will definitely be one of our go tos. Thank you again!!

Absolutely stellar evening at Hugo’s. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting—perfect for a cold Chicago night. The service was top-tier; our server was attentive without being overbearing. I ordered the Salmon and my friend had the Red Snapper, and both were cooked to perfection. We didn’t leave a single bite on our plates! If you’re looking for fresh seafood and a classic Chicago feel, this is the spot.
