Excellent service. Great drinks, BEST espresso Martini in Chicago. Food was amazing. Steak tartare highly recommended. Their pot pies will make you wish you saved room In your stomach from everything else you ate that day. Super rich and delicious. Well seasoned and cooked all the way through. Excellent experience!

Armitage Alehouse is easily one of the best restaurants in the city. The atmosphere is romantic, intimate, and beautifully designed, making it a perfect spot for a date night or special occasion. Every detail of the space adds to the experience, creating a warm and inviting setting that feels both elegant and comfortable. The food is outstanding and lives up to the restaurant’s reputation. Just as impressive is the service—attentive, knowledgeable, and consistently available whenever needed without being intrusive. The staff made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. If reservations are unavailable, it is still worth trying to walk in because this place is too good to miss. Between the incredible food, exceptional service, and unforgettable atmosphere, Armitage Alehouse is a must-visit.

Got recommended here from an Idaho transplant. Get a reservation, the wait was ridiculous, like I sat a park bench for an hour fifteen. Not to anyone else’s fault but my own. The presentation was beautiful and made me feel like a Chicago native. The patrons were having a great time around me. Outside was a bit chilly but my server turned the propane heater on which made it perfect. Bathrooms were clean and the music was perfect. The service was fantastic, Gabriel the Tottenham fan and London local was standup dude. He even gave me a list of local places to try, I don’t think it was to get a tip either. As a past service worker, I am not visually in the high tipping bracket. I think Gabriel genuinely cared. Thanks for the great service my man, til we meet again. The 100 Year Old cigar was smoky and had some bite to it. My kind of cocktail. I went with the Cod, and it was enthralling. I mean seriously perplexing the amount of flavor profiles and how they managed to avoid being overwhelming/ fighting with each other. It was well cooked along with the sauce. The sorbet was great, melt in your mouth. Classic man, I would’ve had three more goblets of that stuff. Good experience. Probably my favorite restaurant I went to in Chicago. I recommend. Management, give my boy Gabriel some props.

From the moment we walked into Armitage Alehouse, we felt welcomed. We were celebrating our parents’ anniversary, and the entire afternoon was unforgettable. Our server, Rebecca, was outstanding. She was so thoughtful of our special occasion, her attention to detail and expertise was amazing. The atmosphere is everything you hope for in an English pub: warm, inviting, unique, and beautifully designed. The menu is sensational. We especially loved the Chicken Pot Pie, Pike Fish & Chips, Wagyu Double Cheeseburger, and Chicken Tikka Masala. Be sure to start with appetizers, the Steak & Anchovy Tartare was outstanding. And absolutely save room for dessert because the Sticky Date Cake is pure heaven. Basically, just get EVERYTHING that Rebecca recommends. ;) Every member of the staff made the experience feel special, and our parents said it was one of the most memorable dining experiences they have ever had. Eddie, the manager, is fantastic too and we can't wait to come visit again (and again and again :). 5,000 stars for Armitage Alehouse!

an enjoyable dining experience. loved the decor and ambience. service was fast and attentive. the appetizers were okay. while the salad was good, the chips got soggy pretty quickly, losing that extra texture. the naan bread was good, but i wasn’t a fan of the fact that you had to pay for the spread separately. other than that, i quite enjoyed the entrees. the flavor of the curried shrimp was amazing, but the rice was a tad bit too hard. the branzino was delicious, and the mussels were so tender. the star of the night was definitely the sticky date cake. it was worth the hype and probably one of the best desserts i’ve ever had
