Really enjoyed our meal at Diego! We stopped by around 4 PM, and the 20% Dinesaur discount made the experience even better. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. Our favorites were definitely the shrimp taco and the Sueños ceviche — the shrimp taco was so flavorful, and the ceviche was fresh, bright, and refreshing. The margarita was great too! The atmosphere was relaxed and lively, and everyone was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Great food, great vibes, and getting 20% off with Dinesaur was such a nice bonus. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!
The staff and service are incredible. Oscar is the man and actually gave us the history of Diego’s restaurant. You can tell this establishment takes pride in what they do. The food is unreal, the tuna tostada is the winning lottery ticket. I’ve been around and this is easily my favorite tostada. The asada Sunday event is more than just a cookout. It’s an experience!
Had an amazing experience at Diego Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The asada was full of flavor, and both the ceviche and aguachiles were incredibly fresh and tasty. The tacos are definitely a must try, and we couldn’t leave without trying their flan — the perfect way to end the meal. Huge shout out to the chefs for such an incredible meal and experience. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Definitely recommend and we’ll absolutely be going back!
Date night and Diego delivered in every way. I’ve had a lot of burgers in this city. A lot. And I say this with full confidence. The TJ Hamburgesa is the best burger I’ve had in years. That’s not hype. That’s just the truth. The flavors are layered in a way that makes you stop mid-bite and recalibrate. It’s a Mexican-inspired burger done right, not done gimmicky. Every component has a purpose and everything works together. By the time I finished it I was already thinking about when I’d be back to order it again. The guac and chips set the tone early. Fresh, well seasoned, good texture on the chips. The kind of guac that doesn’t need anything added to it because they already got it right. Then the piñada. It’s fun, it’s beautiful, and it actually tastes as good as it looks. That’s harder to pull off than it sounds. A lot of places lean on the presentation and let the drink down. Not here. The tamarindo spirit-free drink was a genuine surprise. Thoughtful, balanced, not too sweet. It stood on its own. You don’t need alcohol for a drink to feel intentional and this one proved that. We got to speak with one of the owners, Oscar. That interaction stuck with us. Hospitable, polite, genuinely engaged. He gave great recommendations and made us feel like we mattered as guests. That kind of ownership energy changes the whole experience. You can feel it in the room. The atmosphere is right for a date night. Comfortable, vibrant, enough energy to feel alive without being overwhelming. We felt taken care of from start to finish. Diego is the real deal. One of the best full experiences we’ve had in the city in a long time.
Overall Diego is a good Mexican spot in the area. We’ve been here a few times but usually for just drinks as they have a good happy hour and a great patio when the weather is nice. We grabbed dinner the last time we came and the food was pretty good! Burger was great, fries were perfect, quesadilla was average, and the salsas for the chips were solid. Service wasn’t the best this day and where we were seated was a tight spot.
