Ila's Chicago

Great fusion food and nice vibes inside! Sweet corn agnolotti was amazing and the perfect level of spice with the cream sauce. Our waitress was also wonderful. The Parmesan raspberry cheesecake was an unexpected hit! Good options for vegetarians too
We had a great experience at this restaurant. We sat at the bar and had such a lovely time — the drinks were excellent, but what really made the experience stand out was the service. Miguel took care of us and was absolutely wonderful: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout the evening. He made us feel very comfortable and added a special touch to the whole experience. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it.
First dinner in Chicago we got so lucky to pick Ila’s. Top notch customer service. Unique and wonderful cocktails. Absolutely fantastic food. We had the empanadas, scallops and gnocchi, and papperdelle and each bite just got better and better. I will recommend this to anyone we know visiting Chicago and we can’t wait to return!
Had a great experience at Ila’s. The food is creative but approachable, with lots of shareable dishes. The birria lamb pierogies and sweet corn agnolotti were highlights, and the kalbi short rib was so tender. Cocktails were just as good as the food. Beautiful space and friendly service, I would absolutely go back!
We went on a quiet Sunday evening loved the vibe and overall decor gave the spot that upscale River North feel without being overwhelming. Didn’t realize Ila was Indian-owned until we got there. The cultural photos at the entrance and the overall warmth of the space make it feel personal and intentional. Being an Indian myself this added a special touch. Must order: the bread plate. The yuzu butter, goat feta, and especially the hot & spicy jam were standout. We also had the grilled scallops -solid starter. The biggest surprise of the night was the sweet corn pasta (recommended by the owner). I would never normally order this, but it ended up being the best dish we had. Slightly sweet with a subtle Indian fusion twist — very unique and memorable. Paneer kebab was well done, and the steak frites special menu was flavorful, though I wish the steak portion was slightly bigger. Service was excellent -Daniela was attentive and knowledgeable. Dessert pistachio cake was good, though not as strong as the savory dishes. Overall, great atmosphere, thoughtful fusion menu, and warm hospitality. Definitely coming back to see how the menu evolves.
