I celebrated my birthday here last week and was very impressed! Gigi was an amazing server and was very personable. The brunch was delicious and the mimosas really were bottomless. The host (I forgot his name) was great too. Highly recommended. You can even get custom menus
We had an incredible experience hosting a recent 4-hour corporate event on the second floor at Hide + Seek on behalf of Clark National Accounts (CNA) — truly infinity stars if we could give them. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. The ambiance was absolutely incredible and created the perfect atmosphere for our event, while the location couldn’t have been more ideal for our guests. What stood out most was how well taken care of we felt throughout the entire process. Pre-event communication was clear and organized, making planning easy and stress-free. Their team was incredibly accommodating and attentive, ensuring every detail was covered. And the food? Outstanding. Our guests were raving about it. If you're looking for a venue that combines an amazing atmosphere, exceptional service, and a team that truly partners with you to create a great experience, we can’t recommend Hide + Seek enough. Went here for a work dinner with a group of 10 and we had the private room at the back of the bar. This was right around 6pm and it was quite loud in the bar, so it was nice to have a slightly quieter space for our group to chat. Service was okay. Our waitress insisted on waiting for our full party to arrive before ordering dinner, so we tried a couple cocktails and starters while we waited. We got the brussel sprouts (delightful), fried artichoke (meh), croquetas (decent) and fries (what you expect). Once our party was complete we were able to order main courses and the food came out quite quickly. I had the braised pork and it was wonderful, especially when paired with the carrots. Also tried their caramel sea salt cookie and while tasty it was a little underwhelming. Overall, our group had a really great time and enjoyed the food. Probably wouldn't want to hang out here during happy hour in the bar due to how loud it was.
Came here for restaurant week! The mood lighting was cute (which is usually the theme in west loop) and everything we tried was 10/10! Our waiter was so accommodating and nice! Definitely will be back! Food + desserts we tried: -Caesar Salad -Ravioli -Braised Short Rib + Cauliflower (is spicy!) -Tiramisu (comes shareable) Drinks we tried: -SAFE WORD -DESPERADO
The food here is outstanding. I’ve had the short ribs, the lobster pasta, and even the Caesar salad—everything was excellent. The Brussels sprouts were easily the best dish I had during restaurant week, and I’ve been here multiple times because the food and drinks never disappoint. That said, the service is consistently terrible. I understand the need to turn tables and stay on schedule, but this goes far beyond efficiency. On more than one visit, the service felt rushed and careless. At one point, while we were still actively eating, our waitress asked if we needed boxes—clearly trying to move us out. I’m not being nitpicky; it’s genuinely that bad. I’ll likely return because the food is that good, but only if you’re willing to tolerate truly poor service. If great food and drinks matter more to you than the dining experience, then this place is worth a visit—but be prepared for disappointing service. Also, they add tip onto your bill so just know that you’re tipping that 20% regardless of how anything turns out.
