First time in Chicago, and first time in an all exclusive plant based Asian restaurant. I was blown away! Brie was my server and she was GREAT. If you’re open to plant based cuisine, this is the place to go! We ordered the spring rolls, truffle fried rice, and the red dragon roll. Because it was my birthday they treated me to the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it pairs beautifully with their house old fashioned!! AND THE BEST PART…. I’m celiac and they gave me a full menu breakdown of everything that was safe or could be modified. I felt truly seen! 100/10 recommend!!!
The ambiance here is amazing. It's also intimate depending on where you're seated. The happy hour and late night menu are a budget friendly option if you're looking to sample different rolls/appetizers. I will say the potato "caviar" appetizer(not on the happy hour menu) looks better than it tastes. It came out a bit soggy and lacking flavor. Overall, the restaurant is a solid choice if you're vegetarian/vegan.
Planta Queen was an excellent choice for our evening dinner celebration! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, stylish, and inviting, making it a great spot for a special occasion. For drinks, we enjoyed the Matcha Colada and the Lychee Cocktail, both of which were fun and refreshing. For food, we started our appetizers with the Bang Bang Broccoli, which absolutely lived up to the hype. Every dish thereafter was beautifully presented and full of flavor. We enjoyed the Torched & Pressed Avocado Rolls, Crispy Gyoza, and Truffle Fried Rice. We also ordered the Udon and Stir-Fried Noodles for the toddler. The Matcha Cheesecake was the perfect dessert at the end of the evening. I love this restaurant, and we can't wait to return.
I live in Alaska, I ate at PLANTA for the first time back in November. It was so good that I’ve been looking forward to coming back to Chicago to eat here again! Here I am 6 months later. Mihala (I hope I spelled it right🤞🏽) was awesome, friendly and made a delicious drink! Erin also greeted me when I sat down and checked on me a few times during my meal and made sure to wish me safe travels when k left. They were awesome! I can’t wait to come back to Chicago in the fall.
A warm, intimate dinner date. The ambiance was beautiful. Soft music, dim lit, and golden decor. Server, Macy was very polite and inviting. She explained the menu well and made wonderful recommendations. The Bang Bang Broccoli was so delicious. Lightly fried and seasoned well, topped with an amazing sauce. The Crispy Rice was equally delicious, with a kick of spice, as well as being unique. Had an amazing Dragon Roll, Bak Choy, Chick'n Fried Mushrooms, Beef and Broccoli and Chilli Crab Noodles. The noodles were spicy, nutty, steaming hot ♨️. Finished off with an ice cream scooped, peanut topped brownie. Will be back for sure!
