I went for the breakfast but it wasn’t good at all. Really expensive for very basic tasting food. I had a Belgium waffle and pancakes, I think iHop tastes better. My sister in law had the smoked salmon and did not like it. Also I asked for an iced caramel latte and it tastes like coffee grounds, you could even see the grounds in the bottom of the glass. The servers were really nice and really nice view of the city. I would not recommend.

I went to NoMI to support my friend Brent. He's a DJ with Fig Media and on Wednesdays they have Golden Hour on the rooftop at NoMI. The weather was perfect! A beautiful 75 degrees, the sun hit just right, the music was great, the chicken sandwich made with chicken thighs is a hit and the lemon drop martinis are top tier!!

The most distinctive meal (dinner at 6:00) I have had in Chicago in my almost 80 years. We had baby kale salad; roasted corn gazpacho; short rib (melt-in-your mouth); and an ice cream selection. Every serving was uniquely tasty and beautifully presented. Michael Kelly ilprovided superb, knowledgeable, and affable service (sporting his 25 year pin and beautiful rose pin in honor of his mother). We will ask for Michael the next time we visit and dine. The kitchen is open and the many spaces abundant and comfortable. The views of the Water Tower are marvelous.

Great spot if you’re prioritizing vibes over food. The atmosphere is fantastic and the views make it an easy choice for a memorable outing. Service was attentive and added to the overall positive experience. While the food is decent, what truly stands out are the desserts and drinks, both worth ordering and honestly reason enough to come back on their own. If you’re looking for a place where the whole package matters more than the entrée, this delivers.

I had such a wonderful experience at NoMI. The food was much better than I expected, and you can really tell that a lot of thought and care went into each dish. I ordered the barramundi, and it was beautifully prepared. The fish was cooked perfectly, but what really stood out to me was the quality of the accompaniments. I always feel that the side components of a dish show the true level of the kitchen, and everything on the plate felt intentional, balanced, and well executed. The stone fruit mille feuille was also exceptional. The pastry was perfectly crisp and delicate, and the crème brûlée element on top had such a beautiful caramelized aroma. It was one of those desserts where you can immediately tell that the pastry team truly cares about structure, flavor, and detail. The service was also lovely. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional without being intrusive. Overall, NoMI really exceeded my expectations. It is not just a beautiful hotel restaurant, but a place with genuinely excellent food and thoughtful execution. I will definitely be coming back for lunch and future visits.
