Reviews
We loved our brunch so much we booked a private dinner for all of our wedding guests! Cassandra was great to work with! Beatnik West Town holds a lot of great memories ❤️
They have excellent customer service here. I really wish I can remember the waiters name on Mother's Day but I had a 3:15 pm reservation which is a transition period for them between lunch and dinner. The guy was super laid back and very attentive. The music was at a perfect level. You can hear people talking but couldn't really hear their conversations. The ambiance is so comfortable and inviting. I ordered a salad and a drink during brunch and ate and talked until 4 PM rolled around. It was perfect timing. I ordered short ribs and the El Guapo drink but I preferred the Love My Children ... drink, probably because I love mango, which surprised me when I saw there was mezcal in it (I do NOT like Mezcal but the drink was delicious). I'm not a drinker but I did find my new happy hour place! The short ribs were sooo delicious. Initially, the apricot and pomegranate made me think twice about ordering it but it was so tasty. The short ribs were bland if you ate it by itself but if you ate it with the chick peas, there was a good balance. I would order them again without thinking twice about it. There was a perfect amount of pomegranate which I wanted with every bite.
We had such a great experience at Beatnik on the River on Chicago Ave! The atmosphere is absolutely stunning—vibrant, eclectic, and full of personality. It’s one of those places where you instantly feel like you’re somewhere special. The food was just as impressive—everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. What really made our visit stand out, though, was our server, Tony. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. His recommendations were spot on and truly elevated our experience. We’ll definitely be back—highly recommend asking for Tony if you go!
Food: delicious and plated beautifully. My friends and I went for restaurant week and shared an assortment of the brunch dishes. They were all good! Service: it was busy, but our waiter was still attentive and kind. Food came out FAST. Atmosphere: gorgeous space with comfortable, intimate seating. Even though it was restaurant week, they still had great service and cuisine. I was impressed.
My friend and I came here late night before closing on a Saturday. It wasn’t terribly crowded so plenty of space at the beautiful bar. The inside is gorgeous! I love spots with that cozy plant aesthetic. I ordered a mocktail and was unfortunately given an actual cocktail with alcohol. I informed the bartender and he comp’d me and gave me the correct mocktail which was delicious! A suggestion for the staff would be to make mocktails with completely different names from the regular cocktails. Not just one changed word. I want to come back and try the food next time!
