Wonderful food spot for a quick lunch. We split the lobster roll and a royale with cheese (with all the fixings, like the bacon and melted Gruyère). Kinda made us wonder why we’d never had a burger like that before. It was messy, greasy, and delicious. Lobster roll was bright and seasoned well. Our server Breanna was friendly and fast. We would definitely come back.
Bar La Rue in Fulton Market is definitely a place I’d recommend! The atmosphere was beautiful, the food and drinks were great, and the overall vibe made for an enjoyable experience. A special shoutout to our server, Roman, who provided amazing service from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed. His excellent customer service truly made our visit even more memorable. If you’re looking for a great spot in Chicago with outstanding hospitality, be sure to ask for Roman. We’ll definitely be back!
Bar La Rue is one of those places that would feel right at home alongside top flight restaurants anywhere in the world. The seating is genuinely comfortable, the tables have breathing room, and the whole place feels open and inviting. Fulton Market has no shortage of restaurants, but this one is a standout and has become one of the focal points of the neighborhood. Their happy hour is another reason to keep coming back. The cocktails are expertly made, the food offerings are delicious . Everything about the place, from the design to the service to the atmosphere, feels good.
We went here for lunch and were seated right away, which was great since it seemed pretty busy. The atmosphere was beautiful, with a nice view of Fulton Market Street. I ordered a ginger beer mocktail, which was a bit small and on the sweeter side. I added water and it tasted better to me. We tried everything from the happy hour menu, and the French dip was by far the standout dish!
The entire experience was fantastic. Great atmosphere! We visited during restaurant week and enjoyed their lunch meal. The food was excellent! Probably the best spicy chicken sandwich I've ever had. The front of house staff work together really well and make sure that no table was forgotten. Drinks were always full. Tables clean. Stellar service. The DJ was banging! We celebrated our anniversary and was provided the best bread pudding I've had in years. Again one of the best I've had if not the best. 100% would recommend and would visit again.
