We stayed for a week, and had breakfast every morning at the Waterview. Most days Juan was our server, and he was just superbly friendly and efficient, as well as warm and humorous. The second morning we had breakfast, he already remembered our drink orders. (He's definitely our favorite server there, at least during the breakfast buffet hours. I'm sure others are good too, but he's exceptional.) My only complaint is that I wish the windows got cleaned more often, so we could fully enjoy the beautiful city view.
We stayed 2 nights, both nights our server was Alex, he was amazing! Super accessible, knowledgeable and friendly. Everything served on time and kept our drinks filled up. He helped us take pictures and was always available for additional requests and refills. Would definitely eat here again, hopefully it will be Alex serving us!
Came here for a spring getaway. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Holiday inn, and we would relax with a couple of drinks at the end of the nights here. It has a wonderful view! Our drinks were so tasty and there was incredible service, our server was Joy both nights and she was extremely personable! I would definitely recommend coming by to decompress after a long day exploring the city and asking for her!
Had a really good experience here. Joy was the one mainly taking care of me and she was great, super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was good the whole time. She definitely made the visit better. Wesley also stopped by and dropped off a drink for me and was really polite and professional. The rest of the staff seemed cool and on point too, everything ran smooth. Overall really good service, I’d definitely come back.
I visited Water View Restaurant in Chicago for dinner, and while the view is absolutely amazing and definitely the highlight of the experience, the food and service were disappointing. Unfortunately, our waitress was not very polite, which set a negative tone early on. We ordered chicken wings, a cocktail, a margarita pizza, and a steak large plate. The margarita pizza was extremely underwhelming, honestly worse than a frozen grocery-store pizza. It didn’t even have basil, which is kind of the bare minimum for a margarita pizza. The steak was cold and completely tasteless, lacking seasoning or flavor. The chicken wings were crunchy, but the chicken itself tasted stale, which was unpleasant. The fries that came with the steak were actually good, probably the best part of the meal. The drink was just okay, nothing special. Overall, this place has huge potential because of the view, but the food quality and service don’t match the setting. I wouldn’t return for the food, though the scenery might appeal to someone just looking for a nice backdrop.
