We drove into the city to dine at the Nobu brunch for my birthday. We had a reservation for my birthday and were greeted kindly as soon as we stepped in the door. The facility was absolutely beautiful and i would say the restaurant was a little under half full. Upon being seated , we waited about 8 minutes to be greeted or given further instruction. We weren’t sure if it was self service so we got up to find a plate and go through the buffet line. By the time we had finished our first plate, we had still not been greeted and had no water, despite being walked past multiple times. By the time we came back with a second plate, a server finally came by and asked if we wanted a cocktail menu and water. We also never received any silverware after it was taken. After ordering a cocktail, we watched our server approach a larger table and greet them, give them a rundown of the buffet, the cocktail menu, and some other details about the restaurant. I was surprised to learn that there was a dessert bar on the other side, as we weren’t told anything. I was brought a birthday plate as we started the gather our items to leave which was a nice touch, but overall the dining experience would have enhanced with better service.

My husband & I came in for our first Nobu experience. Our waitress was very kind & soft spoken. She knew the menu pretty well & gave us great suggestions on the food & drinks. We decided to do their 5 course Omakase which showcased Nobu's signature items. We paired the food with Nobu's Junmai Ginjo 71 sake. Everything was so delicious & we were very full by the end of the course. I barely had room for the last two items, which were the ribeye & dessert. 10/10 we would come back!

This was my first time going to nobu and I was so disappointed in the flavors of the menu items especially the nigiri items. We ordered the king salmon, tamago and uni. The uni flavor was disgusting, my fiancé and I have had uni many many times before. But this one tasted like the dirty tank water it was sitting in. I had to spit it out in my napkin. The tamago and salmon nigiri pieces looked dried out like it has been sitting in the fridge for a couple of days. Extremely disappointing and off putting. The black miso cod that everyone raves about, was sweet. We didn’t taste any miso flavor just a sweetness that was less to be desired. The wagu dumplings had an incredible sauce but the meat inside had no flavor. Tasted oily from the wrapper and we have to cover each bite with the citrus sauce to truly enjoy it. We enjoyed the yellowtail app and sashimi salad. Our cocktails and banana miso cake were great. But overall, the food items are extremely overpriced for the quality. I would easily go to 10 other sushi/peruvian spots on Chicago over Nobu.

The hotel was nice and the atmosphere was chill. I had some small, expensive lobster tacos that was not that good. The view on top of the hotel was nice also. I like the location but parking was not easy when i first got to the hotel. When i first got a valet and checked in the hotel i had a warm towel and some tea to greet me. After a over 5 hour drive to the hotel that was nice to have. I wish i would have had some sushi at the hotel restaurant. I heard from other people at the hotel it is really good.

An absolutely unforgettable experience at Nobu. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was stunning — elegant, refined, and vibrant at the same time. The design, the lighting, the energy in the room… everything felt elevated and special. The food was truly phenomenal. The tuna tartare was hands down the finest I have ever tasted — incredibly fresh, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. The oysters were delicious, delicate, and full of flavor. Every single dish we tried was executed to perfection — you can taste the quality in every bite. Also the best coffee I ever tried. But what impressed me the most was the service. It was beyond exceptional. The servers were absolutely fantastic — their manners, their tone, the way they presented each dish, the way they explained the menu and checked on us — everything was top level. Professional, attentive, polished, yet warm and welcoming. It felt like a luxury experience from beginning to end. Yes, it is a premium restaurant — but it is absolutely worth the price. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and especially the service justify every dollar. A truly five-star experience. We will definitely be back.
