I had a really nice meal at Elske! The top dishes for me were the caramelles pasta, salmon, and the chocolate mousse dessert. The grilled flat iron (steak) was a subpar dish due to the interestingly sweet sauce. Overall for a one Michelin star restaurant, Elske was a relatively easy reservation to get, food was well priced, and service was great!
We want to give a shout-out to Renee and the entire Elske event and kitchen team for giving us the night of our lives. We hosted our wedding here a couple weeks ago as this is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. By hosting our wedding at a Michelin starred restaurant, we already knew the food and drinks would be GREAT (special mention for the most delicious s'mores by the fireplace!!), but what we didn't fully appreciate until the day of was the five star service from the entire Elske staff. From the little things like candles on each table, and having cocktails readily available at the start of cocktail hour so there isn't a line for the bar, to constantly checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed; I really can't say enough good things about the team! It really elevated our and our guests' experience -- and it was still probably cheaper than what you'd get from hosting your wedding in a "normal" wedding venue. We are so grateful and can't wait to come back for future anniversaries and celebrations!
Elske exceeded every expectation. Each course was beautifully presented and absolutely unforgettable, with flawless flavors and thoughtful pairings. The service was warm, attentive, and genuine, creating an atmosphere that felt elegant yet welcoming. Every detail made us feel truly special. Amazing!
This was my second time visiting. While there are still some incredible and unique flavors to enjoy, the level of service has cratered. The unfriendly welcome by the hosts and the passive aggressive clearing of guests’ personal water bottles felt cold and unnecessarily pretentious. Few staff smiled during our visit. We got the sense that some of the servers had deep knowledge of the dishes being presented and others did not. We took a short break during the tasting menu to slow down the pace of the meal and our server gently suggested that we should to keep eating as the present dish “needed to be enjoyed before the next course.” In the $400 price range for two, I’d say they might be better value elsewhere.
Every course tells a story. Every meal meticulously prepared and served by the person who made it. This is definitely unique experience of dining. Nothing is rushed, wine paring is excellent. Place is clean, staff is friendly. Open kitchen gives view into the creative works of chefs. Highly recommend. Best thing about this place the food portion seem small but they are not, just right. You will not leave hungry its perfect.
