Matchbox Bar
Chicago
Reseñas
As we entered matchbox, the atmosphere was filled with good vibes. Our server Abby did a phenomenal job serving us as she consistently checked on us and was very lovely. She is the epitome of a waitress. The food was delicious too!
Didn't eat just had drinks. Small but friendly and reasonable prices. Great little dive. Little tiki bar in the back hoping they open up again soon.
A cute corner bar with a patio area and strong delicious drinks. I tried both last word (more savory than sweet) and ginger gimlet (more sweet than savory or tart) and thoroughly enjoy each of them. We love the casual vibes and the bartenders are super chill.
The Matchbox is unique and that is its appeal. As the smallest bar in Chicago, it can be nearly impossible to grab a seat (the indoor bar has only a couple seats) but it's worth it if you do! Service here is spectacular and their cocktail menu is awesome. Prices are steep but you're paying for the quality of the drinks and the atmosphere. This isn't a place you'd come to watch sports (there's only one tiny TV) and it has an upscale feel to it despite being located at the busiest intersection in west town.
