The Rooftop Cinema Club Fulton Market offers an open-air cinematic experience on the fifth-floor terrace of The Emily Hotel in Chicago's vibrant West Loop area. Situated at 311 North Morgan Street, this seasonal venue runs from May through early November, leveraging the warmer months when outdoor viewing is optimal. Visitors can enjoy films under the stars in a unique setting that promises more than a standard movie night.
The atmosphere at Rooftop Cinema Club is relaxed and inviting, beckoning guests to arrive early to take in stunning sunset views while sipping on cocktails during the golden hour. It's a place where film meets recreation, offering not only screenings but also lawn games and a chance to socialize at one of the most Instagrammable spots in the city. The audience will be provided with wireless headphones to ensure clear audio as they relax in comfortable seating options that include iconic Adirondack chairs or Loveseats for pairs.
The venue curates a dynamic schedule tailored for a diverse audience. It features a mix of first-run releases, cult classics, drag nights, and themed events such as queer cinema and family-friendly matinées on weekends. This array of options ensures there's something for everyone, from serious film aficionados to casual moviegoers and families looking for an entertaining afternoon.
Accessibility is a key feature; the venue is conveniently located just a block from the Morgan L station on the Green and Pink public transit lines and a short walk from the Ogilvie Transportation Center. Those opting for rideshare services can use the hotel entrance for convenient drop-offs. Other options include valet service offered through The Emily Hotel and accessible public parking within easy reach across the West Loop.
The Rooftop Cinema Club's location also has the added benefit of being near Randolph Street, an area teeming with dining options. Moviegoers could easily plan a dinner and a show, making it a perfect destination for evenings out. While the cinema's ambiance is inclusive and welcoming to a broad age range, evening screenings are generally suited for guests aged 16 and over, and the venue's bar requires patrons to be 21 and older.

It's MY BIRTHDAY! 6/28 My daughter and son ( Ricky) took me to " Drag Me To the Movies" yesterday! I enjoyed the Drag Show tremendously the Ladies did an AMAZING JOB! The movie "Some Like It Hot" was the best revisit movie! We will be BACK! YASSS we WE'RE THE BIG TIPPERS! Please, bring money to Tip the Performers,❤️
So much fun. I highly recommend. Comfy chairs, not too crowded, and it's fun to be able to watch some of these movies on the big screen again. Also - beautiful views!
I've always wanted to check this place out and I'm so glad my boyfriend brought me here...loved it‼️‼️if you come on a slightly cool night bring a light blanket its such a great date night place ‼️‼️‼️💯💯💯
Employees were amazing and I truly did have an amazing time. 1) I think for the price one is paying for the event, free blankets should be available especially when it is cold. I think some individuals didn’t prepare and it would be a great attraction feature. 2) I love the idea of lawn chairs because it adds the experience, but sofas would be a HUGE investment for the “love seat” option. 3) The employees deserve a huge heater or AC unit in their box units. They are what made my night and keep the event going. They have always had a positive attitude and made my night worth the money I spent for the movie! They deserve an investment into them. I would take appropriate measures to keep my employees happy, safe, and content as they provide a genuine experience for the Rooftop Cinema Club. Disclaimer: the employees did not complain, however, as a consumer, I believe it is fair to treat the employees as good, if not better, than a consumer.
Convenient and Easy to find location in Fulton Market. The cinema is beautifully decorated. I didn't pay for my ticket so idk how much the ticket was but it came with popcorn. The popcorn was good. The headphones were adjustable and I was able to control the volume. The seats are a little low for my liking but I am on the taller side and I get the vibe they are trying to set. My friend went to get drinks and came back empty-handed. Canned pop was $5 and she mentioned the mixed drink she wanted was $18. Way too overpriced. No issues with the movie. Would I go back? For sure. Would I pay to go back? Idts.
