The route covers three key areas: the Chicago Loop, the historic core of the city; the Chicago River, central to the city’s development; and Millennium Park, home to the iconic 'The Bean' sculpture.

Key buildings featured include modernist skyscrapers such as Willis Tower, John Hancock Center, and AON Building; classical-inspired structures like the Wrigley Building, Tribune Building, Chicago Theatre, and the Art Institute of Chicago; Art Deco works such as the Carbide & Carbon Building and Chicago Board of Trade Building; and newer skyscrapers including Aqua and Trump Tower.
