Visit more than five centuries of works including poetry, lyrics, speeches, drama, fiction, nonfiction, and journalism. Begin at the Nation of Writers Gallery with an interactive timeline, surprise bookshelf, dioramas, and the Word Waterfall.
Continue to the Mind of a Writer Gallery to learn about the habits and discipline of writers. Then explore the Chicago Gallery featuring poets, novelists, journalists, and writers who drew inspiration from Chicago. The Children’s Gallery and cozy reading areas provide interactive spaces for younger visitors.
