This will be where we stay when visiting Chicago going forward. The free parking, with the ability to park right outside the entrance is worth the room rate alone. The rooms are smaller. However, they're still well appointed and comfortable. The shower makes up for that with being big enough for at least four people. The continental breakfast way exceeded our expectations. José, the host, is friendly and helpful.
Genuinely the best place I have ever stayed in my life, no exaggeration. Extremely clean, quiet, and in a really nice area of old town. Has a beautiful kitchen with breakfast in the morning and goodies placed throughout the day. Truly cannot say enough good things about the Sono. It will be our go-to place every time we’re in Chicago.
Perfect location for what we needed. Very nice and updated shared spaces and rooms. Staff, Jose, was nice and helpful. We got a studio room, but were there for less than 24-hours and weren’t looking to hang out in the room anyways. Bathroom was large and shower was large, as well. I gave the Rooms score a 4, because walls are thin (we could hear neighboring room clearly) and anytime someone flushed the toilet it was noticeably audible. Rooftop view was nice. Overall, would stay again.
This bed and breakfast offers an exceptional experience! My room was large and had a very comfortable bed and a magnificent shower. I loved the massive TV and the streaming options it offered. In addition, the Continental breakfast was very good quality and the fact that it was included added to the value immensely. The hotel staff are super nice, welcoming, and accommodating as well. Something else that makes it stand out is that the parking is free and very convenient. Overall, Sono House is an excellent place to stay, a very good value, I'm glad that I chose it, and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Chicago. I will be back 😁
I had a delightful stay at The Sono Chicago in the Old Town neighborhood. The boutique feel and quiet tree‑lined street setting made it feel like a refuge in the city. The complimentary continental breakfast, rooftop terrace with city views, and free permit parking were all unexpected perks. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with modern amenities like walk‑in showers and Smart TVs. The staff were friendly and the location was excellent for exploring Chicago. Highly recommended for a relaxing urban stay.
