The view was really good, we had a corner king facing downtown. However, the room did not appear to be vacuumed and there were scuff marks all over the furniture. The couch was pretty beat up. We did not have water cups in our room. The bed was semi comfortable. The placement of the lobby was all the way on the other end of the hotel and not in the middle, so we had to do a ton of walking. There is no pool or spa and breakfast was not free for Hilton bronze honor members. It’s in a great location and the room is sizeable but I was not all that impressed for a hotel that is only 5 years old… The additional taxes and fees are also high. We were able to walk to just about anywhere, and we got lucky with fireworks right outside of the room for Memorial Day. I’d only recommend for location and view.
Stayed here for vacation. 5 days, 4 nights. Ok experience. Great view of Lake Michigan. Convenient access to water taxis, etc. My 3-star rating is mainly based on non-disclosure of 'destination fees'. I don't work in the hospitality industry, but a destination fee is not an incidental cost, or is it? 🤔🤷🏾♂️ In any case, our stay at Sable was good, not great. On a better note, Chicago food scene is top-tier! Chef's kiss all around! Love the Chi! We'll be back, soon!!!
Javon made our stay absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, he provided outstanding customer service with a warm, friendly, and welcoming attitude. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and surprised us with the most spectacular room. His kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help truly stood out. It’s rare to meet someone who genuinely cares about making guests feel special, and Javon did exactly that. Thank you for making our visit such a memorable experience—we can’t wait to come back!
My wife and I stayed 1 night at The Sable. The valet gentlemen and Jovan (from the front desk) were spectacular! The service was decently fast. Here were the issues that caused a lower review. 1. The big one was the elevators were down and I was in the highest floor. I was not offered a lower floor or any type of accommodation. We ended up climbing the stairs 8 times even with drinks in us. 2. When we got to the room the toilet would not stop running so I had to fix it myself. 3. After taking a shower the shower faucet would run for 40ish minutes before completely stopping. 4. The restaurant staff was reluctant to take us when it was closer to closing time. The time we were in Chicago the people in Sable's restaurant were the rudest we came across after the 4 restaurants and 3 attractions and 2 tours we went to we went on while in Chicago. I know the rating is low but I want to explain this was most likely a fluke because of the elevators being out and I'm sure not all the rooms are as bad as this one.
