Exceptional hospitality and reasonable for location and sanitation. We booked late night after traveling from Detroit as we arrived at an Airbnb in the area that was not clean and too hot. My husband booked the Hyatt because it was nearby The Salt Shed for a show we were going to the next day. We arrived around 11:30pm - the entryway was secure and we were escorted to the upper lobby. The desk staff was friendly and understood our travel plans changed unexpectedly and assured us we would be comfortable. We stayed in a king suite, which was beyond spacious and had a wonderful patio view. We learned that our breakfast and coffee was included and we found the food to be filling. The staff working the breakfast bar and roof top bar were all very welcoming and provided great service. The floor of our bathroom was warmed and it was a nice detail that was unexpected but felt incredible after a shower. At check out they held our bags so we could explore the neighborhoods and we lounged near the roof top while we waited for our transportation. 10/10 will stay at this location again - safe, very clean, good breakfast, great happy hour and snacks and location cannot be beat.
This was my third stay at the Hyatt Place Wicker Park over the last nine months, and the quality remains impressively consistent. The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring both downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods, with easy access to bus lines and the Blue Line. Despite being so close to the heart of Wicker Park, the rooms are surprisingly quiet and consistently clean. The customer service is attentive, making each check-in and request feel seamless. One of the best perks is the rooftop bar, which offers great views of the city skyline. It’s a reliable, well-located home base that I’ll definitely continue to use for future visits.
This hotel feels like a bit of a hidden gem in the area even though it’s a larger property. Valet was quick and easy each day which made coming and going seamless. The front desk being on an upper floor gave it a slightly elevated and more exclusive feel right from the start. The rooftop views from the lobby were beautiful and definitely a highlight of the stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was consistently warm and hospitable. Breakfast really stood out as the servers and attendants were positive and willing to help. Overall a really enjoyable stay and I’d happily come back again.
This was such an unexpectedly excellent experience!!! I booked this hotel initially based off of a recommendation for the wedding I was attending, but I am so glad we stayed here! The staff was THEEE BEST! Everyone we came across was helpful, warm, and friendly! However Judy Szurgot went above and beyond! Couldn’t thank her enough! The valet staff was excellent as well as the bar/restaurant staff! Safety is always a top concern for me and I felt so completely safe here. The room was very nice, very clean, with a beautiful view of the Chicago skyline. Valet was quick, there was complimentary breakfast which I feel is pretty rare these days, and it was actually good with lots of healthier options! Honestly any time I need to return to the area, this is going to be my new go-to hotel. Thanks so much to this team for such a great experience!
The customer service at this hotel was top notch. I had requested a few special accommodations and everything was prepared as requested prior to arrival. The team there is very professional and client centered. Breakfast was high quality and surpassed expectations; I really appreciated the healthy options. The hotel itself is beautiful and rooftop area is gorgeous. Would definitely stay again.
