I went to an ALIVE class which is described as a vinyasa class with challenging poses for experienced practitioners but ended up being a stretch class where we held and moved through stretches; there weren’t any vinyasa flows or even anything vinyasa adjacent. I was excited for a fun challenging flow class and why I didn’t choose one of the beginner, slow flow or restorative options, so I left disappointed. The studio itself is lovely and clean.
I’ve been trying out different studios in the area for yoga and The Space Between is definitely the one I plan on being my home base. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been so nice and easy to work with. They’ve really put the effort into curating the space and the environment. From the scents and herbs used to create a calming environment to the mats and tools they’ve selected, everything feels intentional and inviting. Can’t wait to continue my journey here.
I first met Daryn at the Lululemon experience store. I regularly frequented her sound healing sessions and absolutely loved them. I’d always wanted to check out her studio, the Space Between (TSB)! Well today was my first class at TSB and Julia was exceptional! I thoroughly enjoyed “Space & Sound”! It was exactly what I needed and was a great reminder of the need to slow down and breathe!
Hands down the best yoga studio in Chicago. I've been attending for a month and tried a variety of classes and loved them all. ALIVE is a fantastic challenge that is still very approachable for someone in the middle of their yoga journey like me, while ROOTED has been a great way to understand poses in a deeper way. My Friday noon SPACE class with Maggie is a highlight of my week -- such an amazing way to get ready for the weekend. The space itself is beautiful and it's amazing how the most you'll hear from the busy streets above is a gentle rumble of trains. The staff are all so friendly and the studio has a clear commitment to combining a variety of physical styles with a spiritual/mental connection to yoga, which is invaluable in my practice. Couldn't recommend TSB highly enough.
