My husband and I had never been to Good Night John Boy before booking a table for our wedding after party and it did not disappoint. Justin was super communicative and made sure everyone in our group got in easily. Our guests had a blast and we couldn't have asked for a better vibe. Would 100% recommend for a perfect night out!
GNJB was even better than I had expected: friendly and attentive staff, incredible design/atmosphere, and top-notch music and dance floor. We had the best night ever celebrating my husband’s 40th here. It was a surprise for him and it could not have gone better. So thankful to staff member Justin for his open communication and help throughout the reservation (and arrival) process. Highly recommend for a very memorable evening and experience! ((Note: we had an earlier reservation from 8-11pm. The place was nearly empty when we got there which our “older” group did not mind. It became increasingly crowded as the night went on and you could barely even move on the dance floor by the time we left around midnight… and there was a line down the block to get in! Definitely a hot spot for the younger crowd and I’m glad we went during the timeframe we did. It was perfect for us.))
This bar is so so fun!! The 70s theme is very spot on, and the dance floor is the best in the city!! The bartenders are sooooo hot and so nice!! Allison made me the best spicy marg and was so attentive! (the pic doesn’t do it justice) Skylar was so knowledgeable on all drinks, and makes the best martini!!! I’ve never had better drinks and such good service! Skylar was the highlight of the night for me. I’ll definitely be back for the vibes, drinks & bartenders!!!
One of my favorite bars in Chicago! It’s such a fun vibe and the decor and music is great, so many fun hits and oldies too. They give out free food at midnight like pizza and burgers and it’s all great. Sometimes later in the evening it gets overly crowded though and same with the line outside, they may stop letting people in if it’s too busy so just arrive on the earlier side and stay longer.
My experience at John Boy could not of been better. I had friends visiting from out of town and our bartender Gwen made our experience exceptional. She was very responsive and attentive to our group, and made us feel like we were regulars even though it was our first time. One of my friends, who has experience in bar management, even commended how precise her pours were. They are already planning their next trip back, and said they would come back just for her. 5 stars for Gwen!
