I’ve never been to a spa with a hydrotherapy circuit that didn’t have showers in the pool area. You have to walk out into the hall and back into the locker room every time. They have old magazines in the relaxation lounge; surely for the cost they could have magazines published this year? They make the masseuses hand out some sheet after service urging you to pay for their products and book their ‘customized solutions.’ This felt like a mid tier spa at high end prices. Makes aire feel like a steal, which is impressive. The smoothie was good once I was able to flag someone down to order it, and my masseuse was solid. Not in my top 10 massages but everyone’s different.
Excellent across the board - the hot tub is spacious and has jets throughout that give a full body massage, lovely steam room, sauna and cold plunge, comfortable daybeds - complimentary amenities are stocked regularly by kind and gracious staff. Clean, comfortable and tranquil space without electronic devices was amazing. Shoutout to Shelby and Kendall who made the experience extra special! Highly recommend!!
I went to Kohler Waters Spa in Lincoln Park last week, and from the minute I walked in, I knew it was going to be a great experience. Maureen at the front desk was genuinely so kind and welcoming. I honestly thought she was a manager because she was so professional and made such a great first impression. When I told her it was my first visit, she thanked me for choosing the spa and said they were so happy to have me. She also gave me a cool towel and a welcome drink, which was such a nice touch and immediately made me feel relaxed. My massage with John was incredible—probably the best massage I’ve ever had. I booked the “Uniquely Yours” massage, and he really customized it to exactly what I needed. He listened carefully to my concerns and absolutely delivered. The amenities are wonderful, too. I spent a lot of time enjoying the swim area, and it was the perfect way to unwind. My only complaint is that it’s a little pricey, but the experience was worth it. I’ll definitely be back!
Fantastic first experience here. We were greeted warmly by the check-in staff and offered ice tea, and then given a walkthrough of the facilities by our spa assistant Lucy. Everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful and we thought the customer service was outstanding. I had a hydrotherapy treatment with Magdalena who did an excellent job with the treatment as well as checking on my comfort level throughout. It was my first time doing this treatment and she was great in making sure things went smoothly while allowing plenty of space for relaxation. As others have noted definitely recommend leaving plenty of time to use the thermal suite before and/or after treatments. The temperatures of the hot tub, cold plunge, steam and sauna were perfect for the environment. My only minor complaint is that it'd be nice if there were a showerhead either in the steam room or somewhere else in the suite to rinse off with. (However there are showers in the locker room so not too big a deal to rinse off there instead.) Overall great first time there and we look forward to returning in the future.
Jason is a rare find. He’s not only a master of his craft but also a genuine, humble, and cool person who makes every haircut an absolute pleasure. His talent is matched only by the rest of the staff at Kohler Waters Spa. From the moment you walk in, you're met with a team that is hospitable, accommodating, and focused on providing a premium, relaxing environment. It’s the gold standard for service in Lincoln Park.
