The bbq burger was just very flavorful without being too rich and the fries were crispy without being greasy. The korean bbq wings were fine but definitely not as good as the burger and fries. Not in the neighborhood but would definitely come back again if I'm nearby.

Chicago is one of my favorite cities, with incredible food, friendly people, and a beautiful waterfront. Hop Smith is always a must-visit, and Britney made our experience even better. She was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Staff like her are why HopSmith remains a fan favorite. If you’re in Chicago, stop by, ask for Britney, and enjoy a great meal and atmosphere.

As everyone else with a lower rating has said, the service here sucks. We had to hunt someone down for drinks, food, and the check... everything. We were there for a themed night, had a reservation, and waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order. I understand places get busy, but having staff walk past our table multiple times without so much as an "I see you" or any acknowledgment at all is insane. No one came to check on us, not once. Honestly, if we'd tried to sneak out without paying, we probably could have gotten away with it. Won't be back. I know you don't care, and honestly, neither do I after I post this. Thank you, though the tater tots were delicious

Upstairs was better than down below for vibe but good screens everywhere for the games. Espresso tini was too sugary and they don’t serve Diet Coke ( just Pepsi). You needed to have a reservation for tables for the games but there were multiple spots open upstairs which was odd.

The food was painfully plain and boring to finish, which unfortunately matched the rest of our frustrating experience. When we got seated, the chairs sagged so low that the table height felt incredibly awkward. There are zero paper menus, and their website layout is a total formatting disaster on mobile; the text alignment is completely broken and the sizing forces you to constantly zoom in and out just to read a description. When we asked if they had an alternative menu, they flat-out said "no," and when we asked how long it was going to be like that, they just said, "I don't know." To make matters worse, we were denied a move to an empty booth due to "reservations," yet nobody showed up the entire time we were there. They seem totally obsessed with hoarding those booths, because we even watched them give another party a hard time and force them to move from a booth to a regular table. Our waitress was sweet, but this has to be the least accommodating, poorly managed Buffalo Wild Wings knock-off ever.
