Margaritaville - Chicago
Chicago

This isn't your quiet, dimly lit lounge, but it certainly offered a lively atmosphere for a late-night drink. My order was well-prepared and arrived promptly. The music was a bit loud for conversation, but enjoyable nonetheless. A fun stop.
My family and I decided to try this restaurant while taking a visit to Chicago and it was really a great experience! The proportions were perfect size for what the prices were, and super good! I would definitely recommend the fish and chips and the nachos. Our waitress was super friendly and welcoming. And the location was easily accessible to get onto the pier! Would definitely go back!
Stopped here for dinner on our vacation hoping for a great evening out on the Pier, but the food and alcoholic drinks were all unfortunately terrible. I am not one to complain, but we ordered margaritas at Margaritaville and they all tasted watered down, and very light. I let the waiter know and she assured me they had alcohol. We would have ordered seconds if they were good. Then the food came and everyone’s plates were not good. The volcano nachos were a pile of nachos with sprinkled cheese on top and guacamole and sour cream but almost nothing of the chili or other times. I had to ask for additional chili. The wings were not fresh, the fish tacos that come with beans and rice had literally a small spoonful of each spread out to appear like it’s a lot. For the amount of money spent on a night out with family was not worth it at all. This is my first time giving a bad review. We attempted to make the most of it and not want to complain further. The waitress was very nice, but there was no service recovery attempt except getting us extra chili we requested free of charge, but there was no chili on it to begin with! We’ve been to another Margaritaville location and the food and drinks were much better, so it’s specific to this location.
Glad to see it’s open! I enjoyed my drink (havana banana), but for $14~ it was pretty weak, and im a lightweight. We decided not to get food and save our money for a local restaurant. Which is fine, Margaritavilles aren’t known for good food, it’s about the experience. That being said, the experience was just OK. I was glad to be there, the bartender was friendly. But they’re really lack luster in decor, like, REALLY. So barebones. They also only played one Jimmy Buffet song over 45 mins. Variety is great, but it was more reminiscent of a 2018 club.
We ordered a variety of food, it was Green River day, and the wonderful staff knocked it out of the ballpark! Food was better than anyone every told you, staff was the very sweetest in spite of how busy it was or how rude patrons were. The Margs 🍸🍹and Key Lime Pie 🍋🟩🤌🏼🫠🥰
