Honestly, this place just wasn’t for me. I’m usually down for a dive bar kind of vibe but this place was just way too crowded. Kind of defeats the point of a place being low key if it’s filled to the brim with bodies. I’m sure it has better days though.
If you're looking for a straightforward drink after work in Chicago, this tavern offers decent value. It can get busy on a Friday, and the drinks were reasonably priced, though perhaps not exceptional. It's a solid choice for a casual stop.
Fun little dive bar with excellent service whose decor is delightfully unchanged since its founding in the 70s. We were in our element along fellow casual Elder Millennials. Enjoyed noshing on peanuts and petting the dogs in a much more casual atmosphere than nearby Rush.
The lodge tavern was a great spot to come to! It’s such a nice and welcoming bar. The bartender Lindsey was one of THE of the best bartenders I have had in a while. Welcoming and knowledgeable. This is definitely the spot to come to!
As a part of my Sperm Donation World Tour of the USA, I stopped by here a really cool bar, with a fun crowd inside. Definently worth checking out.
