I’m experiencing the most popular spas in Chicago and I recently experienced this one. The stuff is kind and helpful. I get a full body massage with Marina and it was one of the best massage I ever had. She is amazing!
A quaint space to rejuvenate whether downtown for business, pleasure or simply living in the area. The spa has all your general services for massage, nails, and body maintenance along with general amenities for some quick rest & relaxation. As an avid spa enthusiast, I'd definitely recommend it more so for business travelers on-the-go or towards membership opportunities as it provides access to a fitness area with a great view as well as some enticing perks. While I enjoyed many aspects of the spa, it was sub-par as far as the expectations of luxury. The additions such as the private vanity areas in the locker rooms and the salon were great for more privacy, and still provided ample space. However, it appeared to be a little outdated as far as the restrooms/showers/pool etc. The general waiting areas were mostly bare with little offerings for guests, and the wardrobe provided felt poorly made (perhaps it could have been eco-friendly, not sure). If you're seeking more of a day spa experience, I wouldn't recommend it as it seemed more like a quick in & out service/recharge experience. It's downtown Chicago so it's understandable that space is limited, so I'm giving it three stars. The name carries the expectation of luxury, but unfortunately it fell short in delivering on such an experience this time around. So, hopefully with a few updates I'm sure it could easily become more of the go-to for all crowds and especially those for luxury.
The Massage + Spa Amenities package was awesome! Your session comes with a free aromatherapy oil of your choice, with the option to add on additional treatments I added on hot stones (extra $35), and it was amazing!!! Our massage therapist were Amy and Ivana. I highly recommend you book those two if you’re looking for a deep tissue/tension specialist. They were very friendly and attentive during the appointment, and they adjusted pressure on request. Furthermore, the beds are plus size friendly, and they’re heated! Never had a heated massage table before, but I now require that go forward (since the Ritz spoiled me lol). They also provide you with plush robes and cushioned slippers to lounge in with a glass of free Rosé included in your session. Don’t forget to check out the pool, saunas, powder/dressing rooms and cafe they have onsite. I also can’t leave out our great attendant Tanya. She was very friendly, and she made sure we had everything we needed while lounging poolside. I suggest arriving 1-hour to 30min early in order to prepare for your appointment. Valet parking is $38, but SpotHero is also an option if you have the padding time. I will definitely be returning to take advantage of this offer. My service started great but after 10 minutes it felt like waste of time. The facial was average with focus on massage on face rather than extraction, cleaning & other services. For the $ i paid i felt better alternatives are available in Chicago city which will provide exceptional service & experience. Also, the robe provided was old and dirty !
