So beautiful. Saw my first kildeer and piping plover. Thanks to the volunteer who let me look through his binoculars. Great job city of Chicago for your conservation efforts!
Such a beautiful beach my mom took me too and I loved it so much I drove up again for a daytrip and it was a bit chilly but it was so beautiful and watching the planes flying over going to ohare. Perfect trip with free parking in some areas
This is a really cool place to spend the day, especially during the warmer months. It may be a little chilly depending on the weather, but in the summer it's easy to imagine how lively and enjoyable it becomes. The beach scenery is beautiful and creates the perfect setting to relax and unwind. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, so arriving early is definitely a good idea, especially on nice days when it fills up quickly. Once you're there, you'll find plenty of space for families to enjoy, whether you're having a barbecue, setting up chairs to relax, or simply spending time by the water. It's a fun, family friendly destination with a welcoming atmosphere and beautiful views that make the visit well worth it.
When they say long walks on the beach 🏖️ they mean it lol. I enjoyed my time, the scenery, the music and the people. The people was nice, helpful friendly, and welcoming. Especially since I had a stroller and a bunch of bags lol. 😂 my kids and I were there from 3:30-9 and had fun the entire time.
06/04/26: Soft Sandy Beach along Lake Michigan. Wonderful way to cool off on a summer day. Life guards at the tower and in boats to watch swimmers. Highly recommend.
