Begin your Chicago skyline adventure with a warm welcome and orientation led by an FAA-certified drone pilot. Receive a quick, informative overview of FAA rules and safety protocols before getting introduced to the state-of-the-art DJI mini drone. Head to a prime location in Lincoln Park, chosen for its spectacular skyline views and safe flying conditions. Watch a live demonstration flight as your instructor performs cinematic maneuvers like skyline reveals, tracking shots, and orbit moves, with real-time footage displayed on a screen or phone for all to see. Then, take the controls yourself in a safe, controlled area at low altitude. Learn essential drone skills including take-off, landing, panning, tracking, and composing shots using the rule of thirds. Benefit from personalized guidance thanks to small class sizes, ensuring plenty of hands-on practice. Wrap up your experience with mini editing tips, including how to quickly color-correct your footage on an iPhone.
