Description
Sit back, relax, and leave the driving to professionals on your 14-passenger guided bus tour through Amish Country in Lancaster, PA. During this 90-minute guided tour, your knowledgeable guide will show you Amish farms, homes, and one-room schoolhouses. Interact with the Amish community, while making stops at a quaint Amish road-side stand. Experience true local flavor as you sample delicious home-made baked goods, fresh ice-cream, or cold home-made root beer.
Take your experience one step further as your guide takes you on a room-by-room tour of an original, centuries-old Amish farmhouse. The guided house tour will teach you about Amish history, religion, and clothing. For overseas visitors, a written translation of the guided house tour is available in 17 different
languages, so you will not miss anything on the tour.
Finish your day with a self-guided, farm visit of our 15-acre farm complete with animals, local artisans, and an Amish one-room school. During your farm visit, you'll have the opportunity to eat Amish-made food from the Amish BBQ Barn. David King and his family grill delicious chicken dinners, along with PA Dutch foods like whoopie pies. While visiting an Amish one-room school, sit in Amish desks and page through real Amish school books. This farm is home to the only 'Scooter Run,' where you can take a spin on real Amish scooters- just like Amish kids! Meet animals, like baby goats, chickens, Alpaca and Max, the Scottish Highland steer. Feel free to explore at your own pace and enjoy some lunch. Most visitors typically spend an hour on this part of the tour.
