It's cash only but this place literally saved the day! We came back from the margarita festival and my vegan friend wanted some vegan food. Skylark hooked us up! We got buffalo cauliflower, pierogis, and a black bean burger. Literally just came in for food and they hooked us up. Tasty drunk folk food! The live music had just finished but not bad for a Sunday! Thank you Nell for taking care of us! Cash only but there's an ATM at the door!

This takes me back to the era of cash only dive bars that existed in neighborhoods. I enjoy feeling like this is a community bar for the people within the community. I appreciate their cash only system which guarantees the workers their tips immediately after their shift. If you're not used to a dive bar atmosphere then I don't recommend but myself and the people I went with had a great time. We were able to laugh enjoy our drinks and catch up. Definitely coming back.
One of the greatest dive bars in Chicago. Skylark is old school, simple charm combined with an awesome Pilsen vibe. It's good food, good drinks, good times. I've spent many great and memorable days/evenings/nights at Skylark. May they never shut their doors. Highly recommended. 🍻
