It is obviously a place for young, fun and low expectations people, who are there just for the vibe, music and drinks. This said, even while not expecting something fancy and sophisticated, couldnt help but being disappointed with the lack of hygiene, bad smell, empty cups and trash everywhere and super lotation even on a Wednesday. I think simple changes such as putting more cleaning staff and charging entrances to control the amount of people could help.
Great spot for a night out. The service is consistently good, the live piano music creates a fun, energetic atmosphere, and it’s always a lively crowd. Perfect place to relax with a good scotch and enjoy the entertainment. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a memorable evening.
So one we are standing outside our hotel and keep getting new people added to our little congregation. So at about 1:30am we all say let’s find a bar. But sadly we realize it’s almost 2am. But never fear I found redhead piano bar which was just a hope and a skip away from the aloft. And they stay open till 4am. The piano player was jamming and the bartender was keeping us lubricated. This will need another visit the next time we are in town.
simply needs to be experienced. my favorite feel good bar in chicago. the best service and absolutely the friendliest female patrons ive met in years.
I stopped in after having an amazing dinner in the area.And it was a really nice hidden gem. The crowd was lively enjoying the singer at the piano who was playing some really cool throwback songs that everybody was singing to. I sat at a table for a small amount of time and didn't drink anything. But the server came to check on me 3 times just to see if I wanted water or anything. So I'm gonna give it great service because it was packed in there. But the server still came to make sure that I want anything while I was sitting there kind of just enjoying the atmosphere. Listening to the music if I ever come back to Chicago. I'm definitely going Going back there again.
